È possibile utilizzare questo software insieme al vostro software di masterizzazione preferito, oppure salvarlo su hard disk. Con DVDShrink potrete fare ogni copia dei vostri DVD preferiti, conservando la fedeltà del supporto originale. La maggior parte dei DVD sono progettati per impedire di fare copie. | LiquidCD | LiquidCD is a freeware for burning CDs and DVDs built for Mac OS X. But LiquidCD is more than a burning software and has useful built-in features. An Audio CD for you Hi-Fi set, or a MP3 CD for your home CD player or car radio: simply choose some MP3, AAC or any QuickTime readable audio file and burn the CD. Thanks to the built-in iTunes browser, it’s easy to select your favourite songs. Your CD is ready in seconds: choose some files, burn the disk. Feel like sharing your data ? The disk is readable on a PC. HandBrake (disponibile anche per Windows) rende il processo di ripping e conversione di video in formato DVD un’operazione semplice e indolore. La versione 0.9.2 di questo progetto Open Source aggiunge diverse migliorie in termini di prestazioni e qualità dell’output, oltre a nuovi preset per la conversione in formati adatti all’iPhone e alla PSP. | Brasero | Brasero è un’applicazione per Gnome che permette di masterizzare CD e DVD. Il suo scopo è quello di fornire un software leggero e funzionale per la creazione veloce e semplice di CD o DVD con dati e file personali. Supporta diversi software disponibili per Linux (cdrtools, growisofs o libburn), permette di filtrare file da includere, supporta la multisessione, i dati CD Text e lo stream da formati audio come MP3 o Flac. | X-CD-Roast | Masterizzare un CD tramite i programmi per console. E’ un metodo molto sicuro ma forse poco amichevole. Se state cercando un valido programma per X che vi guidi nella masterizzazione tramite un’interfaccia grafica, provate X-CD-Roast. Si tratta di una delle prime GUI (e’ infatti solo un’interfaccia grafica) ed e’ molto semplice da usare. Chiunque abbia avuto a che vedere con analoghi programmi per Windows, sono sicuro che non si trovera’ in difficolta’ nel districarsi tra le numerose opzioni di questa applicazione. Permette infatti di creare CD (anche misti audio e data) senza doversi ricordare la miriade di opzioni di mkisofs, oppure creare dischi bootable. Questo programma essendo un frontend di cdrecord, mkisofs e cdda2wav supporta a praticamente tutti i CD-RW in commercio (siano essi SCSI o EIDE, che come al solito verranno emulati come SCSI). Assicuratevi di aver installato cdrecord, mkisofs e cdda2wav quindi lanciate rpm -Uvh xcdroast-0.98alpha9-1.i386.rpm. |

| GnomeBaker | GnomeBaker si presenta come una semplice ma ottima applicazione per la realizzazione di CD e DVD audio, video e dati in sistemi operativi GNU/Linux: particolarmente adatto in ambienti desktop GNOME, per cui è ideato, contiene tutte le principali caratteristiche degli altri software di masterizzazione, ed è in grado quindi di collocarsi al pari di altre applicazioni notevolmente più celebri. | webCDwriter | webCDwriter è un software che può essere utilizzato per masterizzare file su CD o DVD da una postazione connessa alla rete aziendale. Ciò significa che tutti possono masterizzare i propri file anche senza avere diretto accesso ad un masterizzatore installato sul proprio PC ma utilizzando un solo computer connesso in rete. Il software è composto da un server, adibito ad accettare le richieste di masterizzazione, e di un client. Il server riceve i file da masterizzare dal client e controlla tutto il processo di masterizzazione usando il programma cdrecord.
